Tracie Boutte, Commissioner Tracie Boutte is vice president of Regulatory Affairs for Entergy New Orleans, a position she has held since January 2004. As vice president, she has executive oversight of the company’s regulatory organization where she is responsible for interactions between Entergy New Orleans and the New Orleans City Council. Boutte sits on the national board of the American Association of Blacks in Energy, Downtown Development District, Sisters of the Holy Family, President of Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, the New Orleans Junior Achievement Board, WYES, YWCA, Louisiana State Museum Board, LSUHC Foundation Board, University of New Orleans Foundation Board, New Orleans Council for Community & Justice, Committee for a Better New Orleans/Metropolitan Area, Women’s Leadership Initiative and Local Initiatives Support Corporation. She is also active in many other professional organizations including the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Women’s Leadership Initiative and National Association of Female Executives. Also, in 2002 Boutte has been honored by City Business as the top 40 under 40. Received Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award form University of New Orleans in 2003. Also she is a 2004 graduate of the New Orleans Leadership Institute. Boutte joined the company in 1986 as a marketing representative with Louisiana Power & Light. She has also held positions as a national accounts executive, commercial segment coordinator, major accounts manager, sales and service director, director of retail operations, and vice president, Retail Strategic Market Planning. Prior to her current position, she held the position of vice president, Gas Distribution Business for Entergy Corporation. She provided executive direction to both Entergy New Orleans and Entergy Gulf States gas businesses. In addition to her operational responsibilities she was also charged with evaluating Entergy’s natural gas distribution business development and implementation of a growth strategy. A native of New Orleans, Boutte holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of New Orleans and an MBA from Tulane University. |
