Sidewalk Enhancement Program

The Downtown Development District implemented the sidewalk improvement program to assist property owners in improving the quality of sidewalks in front of their properties.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SIDEWALK ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM HAS BEEN FULLY EXPENDED FOR THE 2009 FISCAL YEAR.
PLEASE CHECK BACK IN FALL 2009 FOR UPDATED INFORMATION ON THE 2010 PROGRAM.

Materials
All new or repaved sidewalks immediately adjacent to property located within the DDD are to be brick in the tan-medium brown color range or with Pennsylvania bluestone in the blue-grey color range.

Funding Available
The DDD will match up to 50% of the cost of sidewalks conditional on the number of applications and budget allocation for each year.

Process & Requirements
The DDD requires that all permits from safety and permits and notification of proper utilities (Sewerage and Water Board, Entergy, AT&T, and Cox Communications) be received prior to any improvement work. The DDD also must approve the materials to be used prior to installation.
